Can you help? I read Mark 10.
Is Jesus God?
Did Jesus want the man's riches?
How does wanting accomplish something?
I thought the man was just asking what he could do to get eternal life?
He said he kept all the laws. But then, he missed something? Right? He didn't put Jesus first. He had another god. I think that is why he was sad. He came to understand something... He had tried to be the best person he could. He followed all the laws he could, but he missed the main thing. Am I wrong? He was not keeping God first. I can't say that he lacked want. He was trying his best to lead a life doing what the law said. I think that took a lot of wanting to live the way he thought God wanted him to. He thought he was living right. People around here think they are living right doing right things, working hard, raising good families. Do you think we missed it? The man went away sad. He loved what he had. Jesus was asking for not outward things... he was asking for his heart. Am I wrong?
Is the lack the man had not wanting enough? Or, is the lack the man had not putting God above all else?
