Consider the effect you could have if you took on the part of a servant toward others, for the sake of a higher mission than any one individual can fulfll

Luke 12:35-44

In a drama or a movie there is a cast that plays roles to convey the message of the story. Everyone knows that those playing the characters are not truly those people. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 9 that we are called on as well to play many roles that may become necessary for people to understand who God is and how he loves them.

The Ceremony of Baptism (by immersion) is actually based on an Old Testament symbolism of deliverance from Evil.

I Know this expression is supposed to be, "You get what you want" but if you think about it, what you have is what you wanted worse than what you say you wanted. This message is about abiding in Christ. If wwe will do this not just in concept, but actually do this, we will have what we want, Christ... and He will have what He wants... us!

The Jewish people had a custom. It had to do with their believe that their land was holy! If they had to leave their land and go into, well... unholy land of the Gentiles (that's us) when they came back they were to "shake the dust off their feet" so that dirt from another nation was not carried into the Holy Land!
