What leads up to... and what should your reaction be after having an experience with God?
Mark 8 & 9 gives us a great example of how these things took place with Jesus and His disciples. It takes faith to hold on to what you felt God said to you during that spiritual encounter to ensure that you don't have a spiritual abortion. In reality the way you handle the days after an experience with God will influence the outcome of that experience.

The "Born to Be Wild" philosophy birthed out of the sixties in America falls short of any lasting fulfillment in life. To be a hero one must realize they are born for a purpose. Mark 9:2-13 relates the story of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ a places Him with such Jewish Heroes as Elijah and Moses. Surpassing them, not only Jesus purpose lives on, but so does His power, through the Holy Spirit.

A person who has a dream has power. This is the essence of freedom, the ability to dream. We pride ourselves in it. ...Our nation and the Christian faith encourages this same freedom. Our Missionaries to the World.

Dennis and Robin have been traveling to other nations for 20 years.
About 8 years ago they quit their jobs and gave full attention to the calling to the nations. Now they have established "Going Global Inc" It's own ministry that connects churches to fledgling ministries around the world.

We have been with them to orphanages and Bible colleges in Asia, Central American, and the Middle East.

What were the most influencing events in your life. When you stop to ponder the question you'll realize it was not some great trip or event by the little things along the way that influenced you the most. When you consider your ability to leave a legacy remember you don't have to leave a lot of money to leave alot of influence.

each of these are the pinacle of achievement in their field. As Jesus Christ came up to the defining moment of His life He asked the question to His father, "if it be possible let this cup pass from me..."
You and I will also have time where the cup of our life looks too big to handle. Give Life the same answer Jesus did to the cup!

OK, that's not a good way to describe our Saviour, Jesus, but I know you have thought it many times.

This is the same thing Mary and Martha said in John 11. "Lord if you had been here my brother would not have died"

The Jewish people had a custom. It had to do with their believe that their land was holy! If they had to leave their land and go into, well... unholy land of the Gentiles (that's us) when they came back they were to "shake the dust off their feet" so that dirt from another nation was not carried into the Holy Land!

Who likes to wait?
Not many of us, that for sure!
We find ways not to have to wait, like redesigning of he Heinz 57 Ketchup bottle for example! Yet, we are told over 40 times in the Bible to wait on the Lord. It does seems as though His clock works different than ours, but He does have the whole world in His hands! Listen as we look at Romans 8:23-25 to find out "what's the point?" in waiting.
